There are two ways to get each new issue: by email, or through the RSS feed in a feed reader.

By email

You’ll get each issue by email when it’s published. Issues come out most days, usually one or two. Buttondown, the service that sends the newsletter, first emails you a link to confirm, and every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link. Your address goes to Buttondown only; this site stores nothing.

What RSS is

RSS is a plain, open way to follow a site. A feed reader checks the feed for you and shows each new issue when it appears, so you don’t have to come back and look. There’s no account with us, no email address and no tracking: the reader simply fetches a public file.

How to use it

Open a feed reader. Free ones include NetNewsWire (Mac and iPhone), Feedly and Inoreader (web), and Thunderbird (desktop). Many browsers and email apps can read feeds too.
Choose “add feed” or “subscribe”, and paste the link above.
That’s it. Each new issue arrives in full, with its tables and charts, and links back to the page here.

The feed carries every issue, newest first. A correction to an issue shows up as that issue’s updated text.
